Our Leadership

Jorge Ramos was raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and has dedicated much of his life to leadership, service, and helping others. He served as a Captain in the United States Army and was honorably medically retired following an injury sustained during wartime service. During his military career, Jorge also served as an Army Combatives Instructor, training and mentoring soldiers while developing extensive experience in leadership, instruction, discipline, teamwork, and problem-solving. His military service and personal experiences strengthened his appreciation for perseverance and his desire to support others through difficult circumstances.

Jorge attended New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico and earned a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College. His commitment to helping others has extended beyond his military career. At a church he attended, Jorge led Sunday morning Bible study, providing another opportunity to teach, encourage, and serve others.

Guided by his faith and a lifelong commitment to service, Jorge deeply values his wife and family and has a deep commitment to helping others. He believes in treating every person with compassion, dignity, and respect and in using his experiences to make a positive difference in the lives of those facing difficult circumstances.

As President and Co-Founder of ImpactUs of Texas, Jorge brings his military leadership, instructional experience, education, and commitment to helping others to the organization’s mission. He is dedicated to building an organization that welcomes and serves individuals and families from all backgrounds by connecting those in need with resources, support, education, and opportunities that promote greater stability, independence, and hope for the future.

Daniel Garcia was raised in El Paso, Texas, and has dedicated much of his life to leadership, service, and helping others. He served 23 years in the United States Army as a combat veteran, retiring at the rank of Sergeant First Class after multiple overseas deployments. Throughout his military career, Daniel developed extensive experience in leadership, operations and logistics management, resource management, safety, training, and team development. He led teams of more than 30 personnel and was responsible for the accountability, safety, and effective management of significant programs and resources.

Water treatment and purification were significant areas of Daniel’s military training and professional expertise. He served in positions including Water Treatment NCO, Water Treatment Operations NCO, Senior Water Treatment NCO, Platoon Sergeant, and Instructor/Writer with the Army’s Petroleum and Water Department. Through his military service, Daniel applied his specialized water treatment training to help provide clean water and support essential operations, reinforcing his understanding of the importance of meeting basic human needs and serving communities under challenging circumstances. In recognition of his service and contributions as an Army logistician, Daniel received the Honorable Order of Saint Martin.

Following his military career, Daniel continued serving others as a Child and Family Protective Care Specialist for more than four years. His commitment to young people and families has also extended into the community through youth sports coaching and mentoring, including serving as a middle school basketball coach. He has also served through his church and participated in efforts to support people in need.

Daniel is a devoted husband and father, and his faith and family remain central to his life and leadership. His military service, professional experience, specialized training, and community involvement have shaped his belief in treating every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion.

As Co-Founder and Director of ImpactUs of Texas, Daniel brings decades of leadership, operational, instructional, and service experience to the organization. Inspired by a lifelong commitment to serving others, he is dedicated to helping ImpactUs connect individuals and families from all backgrounds with resources, support, education, and opportunities that promote greater stability, independence, and hope for the future.
